It gives me great pleasure to announce that after 16 years of trying to get back to Berlin I’m finally returning next month, in May 2026. In 2010 I spent 5 crazy months living on Karl Kunger Strasse, near where the wall was, on the east side so there was very strong Soviet Union vibe around the place. It was also near Kreuzberg which was a popular spot for creatives and the like. It was out there man!
That whole USSR vibe was mixed with the most amazing music and arts culture scene I have ever experienced.

From the moment I arrived I was jamming with new friends! Even on my first day there I ended up in a recording studio in a forest with other musicians I had just met at a peaceful protest march that I happened to wander into while out busking! I know, all in one day! A few days later I bumped into an old friend from Cork, Alex, well actually he was originally from Uzbekistan and moved to Cork because he was a huge Rory Gallagher fan. That was a mad one because the last time I had seen Alex was in Cork in 2007 when we were trying to put a band together and shortly after that he just vanished into thin air! Imagine my surprise bumping into him in Berlin! So with his partner Inga we put a band together and played at various parties and at RAW. That lasted a couple of months before things fell apart in true Rock n’ Roll fashion. We parted ways only to bump into each other again back in Cork when I returned in 2012! Sadly Alex passed away in 2014. I still miss his unique way, he was a true legend in my eyes!
I know he’s with me in spirit on my journey, him and all the others, this is for you guys!

This time I go to Berlin better prepared, more grounded & in a much better head space! I have my “Projections” show, “Din Pics” photo ebook on sale, I am also working on a new membership offer which will be available before the end of the month. Lots going on right now!
I will miss Vélez-Málaga when I move but it is my dream to return here to settle down one day. I feel a connection here that I have not felt anywhere else but right now there are no opportunities for me to progress my career, whats left of it lol!! I will rock til I drop….
I recently passed the 2 year mark learning to play flamenco guitar. Here’s a photo of my teacher and friend Daniel Santacruz presenting me with a diploma to mark the achievement. I will miss Daniel and our flamenco friday lessons the most but I will return and pick up where I left off, one day. I’m currently working on a “2 Years Learning To Play Flamenco Guitar” video to follow on from my “1 Year Learning To Play…” video below from last year.
I am excited about adding flamenco guitar to the show, that will make for an interesting mix!

So that brings me to the end of this blog. Things are starting to take shape so expect another blog in a week or two at the most. Please support my efforts by purchasing a copy of my “Din Pics” Photo Ebook which is now on sale for only €9.99. Please Support Indepenent Artists. Thank you!

Thank you for your visit. Please call again.
